Atlas Games Announces Venue Change for 2024 Event
February 15, 2024 - Atlas Games is pleased to unveil an important update for its upcoming 2024 event. Traditionally hosted at Complexe Sportif Claude Robillard in Montreal, Quebec, the event will now take place at the Canada Games Park in Thorold, Ontario, marking a new era for The Atlas Games.
While the transition to Canada Games Park may elicit varying responses from athletes, the organizing team is confident that the advantages of the new venue will overshadow any initial apprehensions. Canada Games Park, constructed in 2022 for the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games and situated next to Brock University, is an ideal competition venue including two convertible ice pads, seating for over 1000 spectators, four NBA size courts, a health and wellness center, and a 200-meter indoor track. Outdoors, the venue features six competition-sized beach volleyball courts, a comprehensive track-and-field facility with a full 400-meter track, and ample space for various field sports.
The collaboration between the Atlas Games team and Canada Games Park staff promises to elevate this year's event experience for athletes, spectators, partners, and vendors alike. This move unlocks exciting possibilities for athletes, enabling larger and more diverse tests, and improved athlete & spectator experiences. Convenient amenities such as ample parking and proximity to affordable accommodations will ensure accessibility for participants from across Canada and beyond.
